Day 241: File Under Boring

Sorry that today's picture is so lame. I think I used up most of my super motivation yesterday, so today I felt like not doing a whole lot. That included photographing things. You get this instead.

Day 240: Sunday Funday

Walked around Elderton today and actually found some new things to photograph. Aaaaand here they are.

This first one is actually on our back porch. There's a weed growing up through the deck...

1/320 sec. exposure at F/4. ISO 200.

And I saw this when I was running and decided to go back to get a shot of it.

Here's me having fun on a slide.

And this last one is a tree in front of the high school. I really like how this one came out, and it's just a really simple shot.

Day 239: Death Remains

So, I'm kind of lazy and I've had this dead plant sitting in the kitchen window for almost a year now (well, it's been in the window for a year, just not always dead).

Day 238: Porch-rit

Here's a picture from/of our front porch. I liked the way the sun was hitting one side of the posts.

Day 237: Chocolatacious

You know the best part about making vegan brownies? Licking the bowl clean and not having to worry about salmonella.

Day 236: What Else?

I was going to take a particular photo tonight, but then I got distracted playing Final Fantasy XIII and it was too late. The sun was down and the shot was gone. So I had to walk around our place and think of something new to take a photo of. This was all I got...

Day 233: My Favorite Place Pt. 2

Here are (some) of the remainders from my trip to Ohiopyle yesterday. I only had one scary moment on some slick rock that reminded me of 127 Hours, but thankfully I caught myself and my camera was unscathed. Anyway, here are the nature/scenery photos I took yesterday.

First up, Cucumber Falls.

And, finally, this was a spot (I think near the bottom of the water slide) that was all covered in moss.

Day 232: My Favorite Place Pt. 1

I have a TON of photos to share. And because I'm super tired, and I haven't skipped a day all year (I think I'm more impressed than anyone by that) I'm going to split the photos into two days. Today I'll be sharing photos from the Over the Falls competition in Ohiopyle (the aforementioned favorite place, as you'll see tomorrow) and tomorrow I'll share some photos of my travels about the park. Without further ado, please to enjoy, I hope you like, today's photos.

Day 231: Green Livin'

Took this one behind our house. I overexposed it on accident at first, then I kept messing with a longer exposure until I got one I liked. That would be this one.

Day 230: Soccer Anyone?

Really had no idea what I was going to take a picture of today. So I ended up taking this one, of my soccer ball, in my room. Yeah.

Day 225: Mott the Hoople and the Game of Life

I was thinking about trying to stay up for the Perseid leftovers tonight (last night was the peak) to see if I could get any good photos by leaving the camera on. Then I started falling asleep on the couch and realized that probably wasn't going to happen. Still, got a full moon photo, albeit not a very good one.

Day 224: Another Brick In the Wall

I played at the Book Nook tonight, and I snapped this one really quickly after unloading my stuff. This is above the store's back door. Not gonna lie, I sort of like this photo.

Erin and I went to dinner after I got out of work today, then we took a little walk so I could take some photos. Here are a couple that I took.

Day 221: The Shadow World

Erin and I took a walk tonight, and our shadows were really long. I asked her to pretend to pick up a flower. It didn't work out so well (mostly you can't tell that it's a person shadow). But here it is anyway.

Day 220: Rain, Rain Go Away

It's been super nice all summer. Nice, but dry. Now it's been raining like whoa the past couple of weeks. It started pouring at work today, so I stepped out under the awning and snapped this.

Day 216: Driver 8, Take a Break

Went to Ben and Ashlee's house tonight to watch the Cubs sweep the Pirates and play some poker. I was out first at cards, so I took a quick walk to take some photos. Sat down on the train tracks and took these.

This next one I had intended as a simple HDR composite, but it took on a life of its own when I tried to do that.
