New Orleans, Part One

Here's a few photos from my recent trip to New Orleans. These are from/near Jackson Square.

More to come over the next couple weeks.

Lomography Diana F+ Analog

I finally got the film scanned from my first foray into analog photography. Here's some highlights from that first roll. I've got about three or four more images to take on the second roll, so hopefully those'll be up here in another week or so!

It's definitely going to take some trial and error, but I like the uncertainty of not knowing how the photo will come out. Makes me feel adventurous!

A Winter Day in Three Tones

Told you I'd be back!

Here's some shots I took last week that I just got around to messing with. These are all from the same day, but I love how a little tweak to the tonal range can make a winter day seem either dreamy or gloomy.

Anyway. Enjoy!

Where Have I Gone?

Hello, blogworld!

Miss me?

Of course you did.

Or not, because my wife is the only one who asks me about posting here anymore. I want to try and get back into this, and hopefully share some new images soon and with greater frequency! I recently purchased a Lomography Diana F+ analog camera kit that I'm super excited to use (and have used; just need to get them developed) and share, but I also want to just start shooting more in general.

So keep an eye-ear out for new stuff (hopefully) within a week or so!

Day 1: New Year

Happy new year all! I'm only kidding; I'm not actually starting another 365 days of photos, but I thought it would be funny to trick you all. I'm so evil and stuff.

Anyway, I actually did take a few photos the other day when it was snowing, so I thought I'd share those. That way I've done a post and it should keep a certain someone off my back for at least another couple months. ;) Just kidding.

I do wish I could post more (and take more photos for that matter), but this PhD thing has been pretty overwhelming the past couple semesters. So I guess I'll make a resolution that I'll try and post at least once per month (if not more as time allows), and we'll go from there. Feliz año nuevo otra vez!

This one was just ridiculously good timing that that bird happened to fly right into the frame.
