Day 303: Gloomy Gus

It was kind of a gloomy day today. Merely referring to the weather/outside-ness of course. Clouds always hangin' about. It was actually a pretty good day. Here's a photo of the gloom, though.

Day 302: Veggie Pot Pie

That's really fun to say. Veggie pot pie. They're also pretty tasty to eat. Here's my dinner.

Day 300: Barking Up the Wrong Tree

Or maybe the right tree. Who knows? But can you believe this is day 300! And save for yesterday and one other day, I've actually taken at least one photo every single day this year. Just heading into the home stretch now.

I took this one of a tree, with some of its former leaves on the ground behind it. I really like how it came out, particularly how just one strip of the bark is in focus.

And here's one with the focus flipped, just so you can see what's on the ground.

Day 299: Cheating

Sooo.... I didn't take any photos today. I apologize. It was just super crummy outside, and I really didn't feel like being creative at home. I took this yesterday. It's from the EGO book sale. Hey, at least I'm being honest. I could have pretended I took it today and you'd all be non-the-wiser.

Day 297: By Night By Light

I had some time to kill after class tonight, so I strolled in the Oak Grove on campus. I really liked this tree, since it had some greens, reds and yellows to it. These are out of focus on purpose (so you don't think I'm a total hack (though a partial hack is understandable)). Other than some slight graininess, I really like how these came out.

Day 295: Field of Dreams...or Something

Took a little driveroonie today and came across this neat little field just south of Elderton. I wish the power lines weren't in it, but I refuse to crop out power lines in my photos. They're there, so deal with them.

Day 294: Fall On Me

This is a driveway just outside of Elderton. I wanted to stop the other day because it looked really cool, but it was a bit dark by the time I remembered. So I stopped today because I figured these leaves weren't gonna hang on much longer.

Day 292: I Have the Power

Here's my power cord for my 'puter. In the dark. With a flash. I like how the floor has an "infinite" look to it as it goes towards the top of the photo.

Day 290: Grassatnight

Like usual lately, I waited until super late to take any photos. So here's our really overgrown lawn next to our neighbor's cut lawn at night.

Day 289: Henry Jones... Junior

Took a stroll around Indiana this evening, messing with my flash a bit. This first one wasn't a flash photo though. Just to be clear.

Day 288: Church on a Sunday

I've been wanting to take some photos of this church for a while now. The only reason I hadn't before today is because I had to pull off the side of the freeway in which cars are doing 65+ to do so. But I risked it today.

Day 287: It's a Bit Framey

First, I thought I'd take a photo of my mirrors after my shower. Then I started messing with turning my camera, and I like the lines that happen when I did that. So here ya go.

Apologies

I apologize for the lack of posts this week. Our internet's been wonky, working off and on (usually off when I'm ready to post), and I've been overwhelmed with school stuff. I promise to catch up with posts after work today, so check back around 6 p.m. for the last few day's worth.

Day 283: Hanging By a Thread

Walked up to the post office this morning and there was a tiny leaf hanging from a tree by a spider web.

Day 282: Uggghh

Day 281: Hurry While The Net's Up!

I'm posting early today before our internet decides to stop working (which hopefully, it doesn't, but just in case...). I took these on my way home from the library today.

Day 279: Da Burgh

Sorry these are a couple days behind. Our internet has been super screwy the past couple of nights when I went to post. Here's a photo from Friday when I went down to Pittsburgh. I took this while I was waiting for my pizza.

Day 276: You Spin a Story Like a Spider Spins a Web

Now that Reggie no longer lives with us, the spiders have grown and thrived in the back of the house. Here's a pretty large web by the outside light with a big ol' honkin' spider on it. It was all balled up when I started snapping some shots of it, and right as I was pressing the shutter button, it opened its leg out and freaked me out big time! That was when I decided it was time to stop photographing the spider and go inside.
