Day 303: Gloomy Gus

It was kind of a gloomy day today. Merely referring to the weather/outside-ness of course. Clouds always hangin' about. It was actually a pretty good day. Here's a photo of the gloom, though.

Day 300: Barking Up the Wrong Tree

Or maybe the right tree. Who knows? But can you believe this is day 300! And save for yesterday and one other day, I've actually taken at least one photo every single day this year. Just heading into the home stretch now.

I took this one of a tree, with some of its former leaves on the ground behind it. I really like how it came out, particularly how just one strip of the bark is in focus.

Day 299: Cheating

Sooo.... I didn't take any photos today. I apologize. It was just super crummy outside, and I really didn't feel like being creative at home. I took this yesterday. It's from the EGO book sale. Hey, at least I'm being honest. I could have pretended I took it today and you'd all be non-the-wiser.

Day 297: By Night By Light

I had some time to kill after class tonight, so I strolled in the Oak Grove on campus. I really liked this tree, since it had some greens, reds and yellows to it. These are out of focus on purpose (so you don't think I'm a total hack (though a partial hack is understandable)). Other than some slight graininess, I really like how these came out.

Took a little driveroonie today and came across this neat little field just south of Elderton. I wish the power lines weren't in it, but I refuse to crop out power lines in my photos. They're there, so deal with them.

This is a driveway just outside of Elderton. I wanted to stop the other day because it looked really cool, but it was a bit dark by the time I remembered. So I stopped today because I figured these leaves weren't gonna hang on much longer.

I apologize for the lack of posts this week. Our internet's been wonky, working off and on (usually off when I'm ready to post), and I've been overwhelmed with school stuff. I promise to catch up with posts after work today, so check back around 6 p.m. for the last few day's worth.

Day 276: You Spin a Story Like a Spider Spins a Web

Now that Reggie no longer lives with us, the spiders have grown and thrived in the back of the house. Here's a pretty large web by the outside light with a big ol' honkin' spider on it. It was all balled up when I started snapping some shots of it, and right as I was pressing the shutter button, it opened its leg out and freaked me out big time! That was when I decided it was time to stop photographing the spider and go inside.
