Day 272: Like Over-Ironed Polyester

Our front  door got all foggy and stuff tonight. So I wrote on it, of course.

Day 269: Shroomin'

We have these crazy mushrooms growing in our yard. I thought it'd be neat to shoot them at night. So I did.

Day 268: Golf. Yeah Golf.

Adam and I went golfing today. It was my first time out since at least May, if not sooner. I did okay. Here's a golf ball.

Day 266: The Reader

Took a quick photo while I was reading for class tonight, reading tonight for class. I don't have class tonight. It's Saturday. Duh.

Day 265: Abstraction

When I wait to take a photo until really late, it's hard to find things in the house to do. So now I have to take photos that become abstract just to have stuff to photograph.

Day 262: Fall On Me

Went and saw Drive this afternoon (awesome movie; maybe my favorite of the year so far). And when I was leaving the mall, I noticed that the tops of their trees that line the parking lot were changing colors. So I pulled off really quick and snapped this.

Waited to take photos again tonight, so I had to get creative again. Meh.

Day 258: Forny Moggin'

It was really cold and foggy this morning. Nice, but chilly. And made for some great photos. Which are shown below. Sentence fragment.

I like the solo tree one the best, mostly because of the apples on the ground. I also really like the second one because of the blue sky creeping through the fog.

Day 257: Spider

Was messing around with my new flash again tonight, but then I took this one instead because I liked the spider's shadow (which got washed out with the flash).

Day 254: Spoil the Goldenrod, Spoil the Eddie Murphy Movie

I'll admit it right off the bat. The only reason I took any photos of goldenrods today was so I could use that title. So here's that image, followed by some random plant by the river.

Here's one that came out pretty cool. I was hanging my leg off the dock by the river taking photos of some ducks and there was a flower growing out of the concrete. It looks like the flower is sitting in front of a movie screen, but that's just my reflection in the water behind it.

Here's one of the ducks that I made black and white. Not sure how well it works in monochrome, but whatevs.

And these last two are of a flower. I was messing around with the whole move-the-zoom-while-the-shutter's-open technique. They came out kind of cool, I think.

Day 253: Tower of Power

Went for a little drive today, but it was cut short by a crazy storm that started brewing. So I decided to head home. I did manage to get one pretty decent shot though.

Day 252: So Wine-y

There's a bottle of wine that has been sitting in the bathroom at the Book Nook for a while now. I've worked there for two years, and it was already dusty when I started then. I took a photo of it today.

Day 251: Park, But Not the Way You Think

I was out and about in Pittsburgh today, mostly doing some grocery shopping/picking up some odds and ends now that I'm not completely broke anymore. I took this photo from the Target parking garage in East Liberty.

Day 250: One Big EGO (Group)

We had our first general meeting for EGO today. It stands for English Graduate Organization. I'm the historian, which basically means I'm a picture taker for the group. I took a couple of group photos today, one nice and one goofy. Here they be.

Day 249: Moon Light

Yep. Another moon shot today. I was looking through the back door window at the moon after class tonight, and thought I'd see what kind of a shot I could get through it. Since I left the kitchen light on, it was reflecting in the window too, so I got this interesting little mash-up.
